How to measure
- Put a sheet of paper flat against a wall.
- Stand on it with your heel touching the wall, wearing the socks you would wear with the shoes.
- Mark the paper at the tip of your longest toe.
- Measure from the edge of the paper to the mark, in centimetres.
- Measure both feet and use the larger number.
Measure in the evening. Feet swell through the day, and a shoe fitted at 9am can be tight by 6pm.
Between two sizes? Take the larger one. A slightly roomy shoe can be fixed with an insole; a tight one cannot be fixed at all.
